Safari at Shimba Hill’s park

There are lots of animals, but no wild beasts, and the vegetation is luxuriant. The view is magnificent over the whole plain, filled with coconut palms, banana trees and other crops, as the soil is good for planting. On a clear day, you’ll be able to make out the beachside hotels and see the sea.

It’s a lovely, relaxing walk, and you can hike to the waterfall if you like. Lunch at Shimba Lodge.

You’ll return at sunset, when the colors are a photographer’s delight. If you wish, you can take a half-day or full-day safari, or even spend the night at Shimba Lodge in a superb location.

Animals: Elephants, giraffes buffaloes gazelles, harnessed guib ostriches, warthogs and the Hyppotragus sand antelope, found only in Shimba Hills.

Area: 1922 km2
